SEE THE LATEST FROM MATE AT FABTECH 2018 ATLANTA

We’re off to Atlanta next week for FABTECH 2018. Last year almost 45,000 people from 120 countries attended the show in Chicago. Atlanta should see tens of thousands gather for this annual event showcasing the latest in sheet metal fabricating technology.

If you’re attending FABTECH 2018, be sure to stop by our booth, B7819, to see the latest products from Mate in punch press tooling, press brake tooling and laser consumables. Mate prides itself on making products that allow companies to work smarter, operate leaner and boost productivity. Those visiting our booth will see our latest advancements for bending, punching and cutting sheet metal, including:

Newly Expanded Mate QCT™ Punch Press Tooling Family

Mate has expanded its QCT™ product line (patent pending) to include Metric QCT Metric, AMX QCT™ for Amada air blow systems and MXT QCT™ for Wilson HP systems.

QCT Metric is fully compatible with Mate’s Ultra® family of guides and canisters, and Mate’s Original Style guides, spring packs and Rapidset™ canisters. These punches are fully interchangeable with Amada NCT, NEX and Z-Tooling systems, as well as Wilson Thick Turret Metric punches. AMX QCT™ is fully compatible with Mate AMX™ guides, spring packs and Rapidset canisters, as well as Amada NCT, NEX and Z-Tooling air blow systems. MXC QCT punches are fully interchangeable with Wilson HP systems.

Mate QCT punch inserts are made from M4PM™ tool steel, proven to be the most durable, longest lasting tool steel in the industry. Punch drivers are coated with SuperMax™, Mate’s next generation coating to minimize wear and preserve fits.

New Mate Versadie HD™ Improves Slitting Thick Materials

The new Versadie HD™ offers improved slitting in thicker materials that require more than 0.016” (0.406mm) total die clearance. The base incorporates a hat die feature to better withstand the punching of heavier materials.

With the replaceable die inserts–fully interchangeable with the standard Versadie–there is no need to replace the entire die. All Versadie inserts are designed to allow for the greatest lengths currently available in the industry. For superior performance and longevity, the die inserts are made from MPM82 tool steel. The die body also allows shimming after the insert is sharpened during routine maintenance. There’s no need for special shims either; simply use standard thick turret die shims.

Mate American Precision Style Press Brake Tooling Featuring the Maglock® Magnetic Safety System

Mate’s American Precision Style press brake tooling is a full line of precision ground common height punches and dies. All Mate American Precision Style punches come standard with Mate’s groundbreaking Maglock® magnetic safety system (patent-pending), which is simple, easy, reliable and safe. Maglock uses rare earth magnets to attach and seat the punch to the holder with no separation between the surfaces. With no protrusions, the tang simplicity makes Maglock-equipped punches ideal for front loading of tooling and enables installation of tooling backward or forward. Another industry first option is the capability to purchase by the inch – just specify and buy the tooling length required for your design.

Mate Laser Technologies Expands With Over 500 Product Additions

Mate has added over 500 new laser accessory products reaffirming its commitment to the rapidly growing fiber and CO2 laser market. Fiber lenses, fiber windows, nozzles and accessories ensure all customers get what they want when they need it. All-new, easy-to-use, OEM specific catalogs are also available.

New Cloud-Based Customer Portal

Mate has introduced the most comprehensive customer cloud-based portal for tooling library history management. Users can manage their tooling library, forming tool drawings, purchase history and service subscriptions all in one mobile-friendly site. This free, value-added resource is available to all Mate customers through a quick and easy online registration form.

So if you’re in Atlanta for FABTECH 2018, please stop by Booth B7819 to say “hello” and learn more about these new products that can enhance your sheet metal fabricating operations.
