Mate Sales Engineers: Your Trusted Advisors

Mate prides itself that you’ll find what you’ve been looking for in a Sales Engineer: a trusted advisor who listens to your needs and challenges, not an order taker. We take the time to understand your fabrication difficulties. Our full team of experienced and friendly Sales Engineers are available to help you in person, on site, or through virtual meetings. While our assistance often addresses the fabrication issues, it also goes beyond that, such as helping you select the right machine and tools for the job.

It’s precisely what happened when a leading manufacturer of truck and SUV accessories ran up against to produce its complex company and product logos. Traditionally a laser house, the laser wasn’t up to the task, so they began to look at punch presses. They engaged Mate Sales Engineer John George to help them find the right machine.

John worked with the customer and Prima Power, who believed its punch press would be able to efficiently handle the complex project much more efficiently than a different press. To maximize turret capacity, John recommended Mate’s Ultra UMT™ multi-tool that also has the benefit of fewer tool changes for more machine up-time.

To make sure the new machine was successful, operator training was essential. John developed a training program for the customer to specifically address the set-up and operation of the Ultra UMT multi tool. The multi-tool was a new concept for them. When the operators completed the training program, they reduced set-up time by an average of 20 minutes each.

So, if you’re contemplating a new punch, bend or laser machine, be sure to engage your Mate Sales Engineer. They’ll make sure select the right machine and tools to produce your products in a most efficient manner.
